Quench Can Help You Get the Lead Out!

Concerned about lead in your workplace’s drinking water? A Quench filtered water cooler can reduce 99.9% of lead in tap water. We offer a full complement of filtration solutions to eliminate other impurities and contaminants from your drinking water, including:

Advanced Carbon Filtration

Quench bottleless water coolers are equipped with an advanced carbon filter that is certified by IAPMO in accordance with NSF/ANSI standard 52 for the reduction of lead as well as for the removal of sediment and other impurities up to 1 micron in size; reduction of microbial contaminants; and elimination of off-tastes and odors caused by chlorine, sulfides, and other chemicals.

Reverse Osmosis Filtration

Quench also offers reverse osmosis (RO) filtration systems, for situations requiring the higher levels of purification. Quench RO filtration systems remove total dissolved solids (TDS) from tap water, reduce lead up to 99.3%, and reduce chemical and microbial contaminants through an advanced process using a combination of sediment, carbon, and semipermeable membrane filtration.

Get the Facts About Reducing Lead in Your Drinking Water

Municipal water systems in the U.S. routinely test and treat water for lead. Most lead contamination happens as water travels to the tap through old pipes and building infrastructure. The water quality going through the plumbing greatly impacts the amount of lead imparted to the water from the pipes. The more acidic the water, the more it will leach from the pipes.

Point-of-use water filtration systems are an effective way to reduce lead in tap water. But get the facts: it’s easy to have your drinking water tested. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provides a list of independent organizations that offer lead testing. Find a local laboratory through the EPA’s easy-to-use map.
